3 days in Melbourne already.
So today I went to my uni for the first time... not sure how that place will soon be of familiar territory in my head just a few weeks from now. Right now everything is still pretty foreign to me but I'm just taking it in one day at a time.
I arrived just 2 days back, anxious with baggage and shit. Upon arrival I was stucked at Sam's address not knowing where he is. Took the risk of leaving my luggage right at a corner of the house and then went out to the city. Bought my sim card and my transportation card and that was $50 gone already. But all was well when I met the local Melbourne folks and Christian, and not even 30mins in, I received my first 'safety meeting' as they call it. #WelcomeToMelbourne
It was lucky that the first night I was in, there was a huge festival going on called the 'White Night'. So there was loads of light shows going on with street performances... pretty funny experience when we were baked out of our minds. Did so many for a first day.
On the 2nd day, I visited Southbank again and did some good jumps here and there. I think my leg strength dropped as compared to the last time I came, but I'm satisfied that I can still do the old standing jumps... I'll get stronger!
Of course, safety meetings were had as we're done with training. I better control where my money goes more now that it'll mostly be spent on things like these...
So back to Uni!
It was, yeah, pretty alright day meeting friendly people but to be honest I'm still a bit lazy to actively socialize with randoms. I'll just hope I start meeting really sick people in class... and yeah I'll probably go to the lame amazing race thing. Killing time I guess.
Right now, what's mainly on my mind though, is to quickly get that accommodation space and settle down proper. There's still tons I wanna do but it can't start without actually having a proper place to stay. Then I'll start doing tons of editing and start being productive every night. Then start cooking, living the life like an everyday folk here. Have people come down in the weekend for chillz. Would be sick as fuck.
Have I also mentioned that I only have school 3 days a week? Didn't really care what I'm studying as long as I still have time to do my own shit. Hopefully I get the bounce job this Thursday. If not, I really have to find somewhere maybe near my house to hire me. Can't afford not having an income while I'm here...
And lastly, did you know I have my timetable already? Apparently I'll be done with school 30th Oct. I even have a 12 day easter break - probably wanna do some cool travelling on that weekend. During Winter Break, I have ALL the time in the world to travel Aussie/NZ. All the road trips coming up. Tasmania. Weekend getaways even.
Let's see how Melbourne works out!
PS: Definitely gonna make a Melb PK video whilst I'm here too.
PSS: Gonna try to blog as much as I can about my Melb life. Here's the first post :)
