Day 156:
School's starting in a week's. Pretty much at the halfway mark of my Melbourne life now, crazy how quickly time is passing. Almost here for a half a year already and so much have changed from the initial months till now. And now Andre's leaving, house being back to square one, and with tons of shoots coming up and editing work piling, the next chapter(s) of my life here will definitely be interesting.
Andre's leaving next week and all the goals we first talked about doing back then weren't done yet and now it's almost too late. You always think you have the time, but truly you don't. If there's something in your list that you want it done, today's the day. #wordstoliveby #feelinginspirational #itstruetho
So... I managed to earn quite a bit in week 2 and week 3 since coming back here (finally got back my shifts), hitting about $1250 in that two weeks. Pretty happy - still did a fair bit of training in between (ticking off goals like I said I should #todaystheday), despite the shitty cold and rainy weather. Got some good filming done, also had guests around (Mike, Abe, Tim too), also got to go to the Grampians (didn't even get to see the sunset cos we went the wrong way... #effort).
Also, applied and got the UberEats job too which... kinda is less than satisfactory at the moment, as I have to cycle sooooooo far and they don't even pay as great as they seem (35% service charge, what a scam). I'm just waiting for them to open up at Hawthorn, near where I live, so that it'll be easier. Looks like I'm pretty set for jobs at the moment, hope to live off this till March... hopefully ten grand richer.
All this long-distance cycling, despite being a daily workout, may turn out to be detrimental to my power. Combined with the Melbourne-styled feasting and rigidly cold temperature, jumps are feeling rather heavy and warming up is sooo crazy hard because of how numb your feet gets. It's tough, this winter. The effort of the job is not just cycling distances, but bearing the bitter cold, and that includes rain, wind, and even hail...
Other than work, I have been finally starting on the edit, and it's really taking me too long as it is with most of my long ass videos when I'm going through the archives. Hope that it'll be a good one, and will aim to release it ASAP as I still have tons of other videos to edit, including a editing job of that dance night with Hatta, and my actual Final Year Project when the time comes.
And I finished binge-watching Bojack Horseman S3. Did not disappoint. Can't even begin to tell you how good an animated series this is. It's just amazing. Get on it if you haven't!
A last note: In 2 days time, I'm taking another 4 days off from work and go on a (kinda impromptu) Sydney trip with Hatta. Not sure why but I know that this will probably be a good decision, rather than just working and doing nothing at home. Final chance to enjoy a bit of a break from a routine before the semester resumes... Should be good.
Till then,
