Day 324
At the very final leg of my Melbourne journey now. NYE was pretty interesting. But after the countdown and fireworks, it's during the sobering walk home, you realize nothing has changed and you go back to the normal life.
So I've moved out of Camberwell, managed to sell off most of the furniture and got settled in the new house (temporarily). The landlord took away our bond due to some stupid shit like loose bathroom tiles and a mouldy ceiling. And because of that I lost another $450. Another one to add to the list of money lost here... But whatever. Pretty glad the moving out went smoothly and now I'm just temporarily residing at a friend's place, but ultimately homeless (and therefore rentless!) till I get home in Singapore!
Spent a bit of the first few days exploring Fitzroy, also did a new year's shift with Foodora in which I earned $110 in 4 hours of work. 1.5x pay is always good, especially in Australia! Change of environment makes life much more interesting. Also found a few spots around the place I'm staying and did a few jumps which I'm really happy with.
Currently in the airport right now about to fly to Gold Coast. Honestly I have no idea what I'm going to do, I just wanted out of Melbourne and do good trainings with new people. I might even go to Perth for the sick Freerun X5 jam! I definitely want to head up to Townsville as well. Last but not least, I'll end the trip in Adelaide. Just picked a few destinations and try to hit them all, hopefully everything will turn out perfect, and my wrist will magically heal up in the midst of it all, and I stay uninjured the whole trip. Also, I'm really happy my jumps have gotten much stronger and I'm hoping to see more improvement during this trip.
The past few days has been a bit different than usual, partly still trying to absorb the new reality away from Camberwell and how my Melbourne life is slowly starting to come to a close. I feel that my last 2 weeks in Melbourne will be the most interesting, it will be then I will try to get the goals that I've been putting on hold for the longest time (because of wrist). Also, I will have to pack my schedule properly so that I'll be heading home feeling complete.
The other part is because life has chose to throw me yet another curve ball and sometimes I just don't quite understand why shit like this happens. It really sucks that you can put in your 100% into something and it means nothing because it takes two hands to clap. It really messes with my head but thankfully the trip has come at a perfect timing.
Let's see what happens from here on out.
