Fully done with editing this behemoth of a project. Many things about it I loved a lot, but then again upon second viewing and thoughts, most of my projects are just like this. Standard, formulaic, typical. Sure there are cheery vibes that has that trademark Denester finish, but I think my videos need to stand out more after 10 years.
But then again, trying to go out of my way to get perfect shots hasn't quite been one of the things I focus on in my travels, maybe because I much rather be in the moment rather than always pointing and shooting, well that's my excuse for being lazy I guess. Also, especially the movement shots, it is hard for me to achieve what I want because I'm not the one filming. Maybe I should push the project ideas I have in Singapore first before embarking on others.
The past two weeks was me sitting on my butt and editing videos nonstop. It got a bit mundane at some point (like with most super long edits) and all I wanted is to be done with it. There are always parts of the edit which are just filled up although it's not that great. It's hard to achieve the extremely perfect edit I'd say. That's always something that is lacking or can be better. But is it really worth the extra time? Clearly not - it's just YouTube content at the end of the day. And the number of views on YouTube is astoundingly low these days. In the end, the video is purely just for making myself happy, something I'd like to playback just for the memories as time passes.

This entire month has been toooooo slow. Day by day time passes, the weather is extremely shit, totally no jobs available,  passport is still with the police so there's really not much I can do. Thankfully was still able to go to KL for the jam and honestly it was a pretty dope trip... Except for hurting my goddamn wrist once again. So bummed. This one's looking quite serious. Not sure how long I'll be out of wrist movements yet again. Sigh

So I got first place in speed (lame course tho, also only won by 2 milliseconds so meh), and got 3rd in style. Would've gotten 2nd if I just chose to do a simple sideflip instead of half committing a sidefull first time onto concrete (in a competition as well). Had to pay such a heavy price for this stupid decision. Huge lesson learnt. Also, makes me wanna drill the fuck out of sidefulls. Something I know I got down but not fully comfortable with it yet. Sucks so badly that I did not land it tho. Ugh

Other than that, Malaysia has been dope for the food and chills. As usual the illusion of cheap is at work - spent probably 350+ MYR for the 4 days just because. Whatever, had to enjoy my time whilst I was there. Doubt I'll get much more time to travel. Next year's plan is completely empty.

I passed my IPPT (again right on the dot...) which was something to be happy about. The next on the list is TP test happening tomorrow. I gotta pass it. If I do, it'll be a sweet way to end this year. I will finally be officially certified (hopefully) after this weekend's workshop. Also, there is a high chance of me being employed and I'll start work in the new year. Only thing is the pay isn't quite as great as I wish. But beggars can't be choosers. Reality of life.

There are just a couple more videos to edit and post it up, and a whole list of video project ideas to clear, but that requires a fully working body which I don't quite have at the moment. I wonder how much of it I can work on once full-time work commences next year. It sucks because everyone's busy and also no one will ever care as much as you. Gonna be a tough challenge. But at the moment, all I can do is focus on recovery. Sigh. Just when I thought I was almost back on track. Life.

So rehab rehab rehab for next year (whilst strength training), continue working on the parkour gym, work on LCG, hopefully be able to teach parkour classes in Kraken. Get back into training, make videos during the weekend... hopefully I'm not too busy amidst it all. Gonna be a tough one. But I think a new routine is much needed at this point of time.
